IAHBE
Free Leads
Frequently Asked Questions
As a member of the
International Association of Home Business Entrepreneurs, you get free
leads for your home business each month! To help you get the most from
these leads, please review the following IAHBE Free Lead FAQ:
How do I sign up
for free leads?
IAHBE members can
sign up for their free leads HERE.
Just click the Submit This Month's Leads Request link.
Do I need to sign
up for my free leads each month?
Yes. You'll need to
sign up for your free leads BEFORE the 21st of each month, when the leads
for that month are distributed.
When will I get
my free leads?
Leads are distributed
to IAHBE members on the 21st of each month.
How can I access
my free leads?
Once they have been
distributed, your leads will be available to you online. Just login to
the IAHBE Website and click the My Free Leads link in the left navigation
column. Then select the Go Directly To Lead Table link.
Are these leads
really free?
Yes. These leads are
a bonus you receive as a member of IAHBE.
Where do these
free leads come from?
All leads you receive
have responded to worldwide advertising about starting a home business
and have requested a free "Secrets Of Internet Millionaires"
bundle with over $580 in free business-building tools. However, they have
not yet confirmed that request.
How old are these
leads?
All leads have been
generated within the past 30 days of the month in which you receive them.
How many leads
will I get each month?
The IAHBE Free Leads
program is based on a pool of leads generated each month from worldwide
advertising. Each member may receive one share of the pool each month.
The number of leads per share will vary each month, depending on the response
rate from the advertising placed.
What contact information
will I receive with my free leads?
Your leads include
the prospect's name, mailing address, the country of residence, the date
the lead was assigned to you, and the status of the leadwhich you
can change to suit your own needs. At the IAHBE free leads page, you'll
also see a Notes field for your leads that you can use to input personal
information and other documentation about each lead.
What does the Status
field in my Lead Table mean?
On the IAHBE site,
you can change the "Status" field to provide simple, "at-a-glance"
tracking capabilities. By default, all new leads are given a status of
1. You may however change the value to any number between 2 and 20 to
identify status changes. For example, A "1" status can identify
leads that you have not yet contacted. Change to "2" when you
have mailed initial information. Change to "3" when you have
done your next follow-up mailing. A "4" could indicate that
you've received interest from the prospect in your business opportunity.
A "5" could indicate that they have signed up and have joined
your sales team...and so on. To save your Status changes, just click the
Update Status button before leaving the Free Leads page.
Why are there no
e-mails included with my free leads?
All your leads have
responded to an ad about starting a home business and have requested a
free "Secrets Of Internet Millionaires" bundle with over $580
in free business-building tools. However, they have not yet confirmed
that request. Regulations dictate that we can only request a confirmation
via e-mail two to three times. If confirmation has not been received by
that time, we MUST cease and desist sending them any additional e-mails,
either from us or any representative of the IAHBE. To continue e-mailing
these leads to confirm their request OR to allow our representatives to
solicit them via e-mail in any way would be tantamount to SPAMMING. That,
of course, could hurt everyone in the IAHBE. For these reasons, providing
e-mail addresses with these leads is simply not possible. However, there
is no such restriction on phoning or direct-mailing these prospects.
Does the lack of
these e-mail addresses decrease the quality of the leads?
In some case, perhaps...but
remember, these leads are people who DID respond to an ad and expressed
an interest in starting a home business. Maybe their ISP is blocking messages
or sending them to an unchecked Junk folder. Maybe they're a little hesitant
to get involved. It could be that they've been hurt before with online
scams. Or perhaps they just don't completely trust the Internet as an
effective means of starting and running a home business. Whatever the
reason, a personal contact (either by phone or through direct mail) from
an actual home-business entrepreneur, like you, may be just what they've
been waiting for!
What
are some ways I can effectively market to these leads?
You could drop a postcard,
letter, or brochure in the mail to them. There are many affordable resources
available to you to accomplish this, including VistaPrint (www.vistaprint.com)
and the U.S. Post Office's service at www.usps.com/netpost,
which will let you create or upload your own graphics, letters, and cards,
merge in your contact information, and mail your material for youall
at a very reasonable price.
What if I don't
want the free lead bonus?
These leads are being
provided to you free of charge as a bonus of your IAHBE membership. However,
you are under no obligation to receive them. If you'd prefer not to receive
your free leads, you can simply elect not to sign up for your share each
month, leaving more leads per share for those who want them. Another other
option for your free lead share would be to give these leads away as incentives
for leaders in your downline and/or personal referrals when they complete
training, bring in their first prospect, make their first sale, etc.
I signed up for
free leads this month, but didn't receive any. Why?
It may take several
hours to complete the distribution of these leads on the 21st of each
month. Therefore, you may not see your leads in your Lead Table until
later in the day on the date of distribution.
Also, if you signed
up for a month's lead share on or after the 21st of that month, you won't
receive your free leads until the next month's distribution date on the
21st.
Can
I give my leads away to my personal referrals and others in my team as
performance incentives?
Absolutely. These
free leads are yours to use in any way you see fit.
How can I track the direct-mail response rate for these leads?
When conducting direct-mail
campaigns, be sure you encode any online links referred to with a special
keycode just for that particular mailing.
I'm
an international IAHBE member, yet most of my leads reside in the U.S.
How can I market to them offline without breaking my budget?
Even if you're located
overseas, it is still possible to conduct direct-mailing campaigns and
call prospects affordably, especially considering that you've been provided
these leads at no cost to you. Check out your country's post office system
for possible mailing campaign solutions. You and others in your downline
could also trade your out-of-country addresses and phone numbers in your
free lead shares. In this way, you could obtain leads within your own
country while providing others leads located in their countries. Another
solution may be to connect with a trusted U.S. team member who could then
collect postage and lead information from you and mail out your direct-mail
pieces themselves.
